Therapy, assessments, consultation, trainings, and supervision through  a neuroaffirming trauma lens.

Unmask, be seen, and calm your nervous system with inclusive therapy.

At Freestyle Supervision and EMDR, we provide genuinely inclusive, trauma-rooted care for clients across California and Texas, moving far beyond "trauma-informed" as just a trendy buzzword. We believe therapy should be a space where your whole identity is celebrated, which is why we are proudly LGBTQIA+ affirming, allied, and take an active stance of advocacy for everyone we serve. Whether you are navigating an Autism or ADHD diagnosis, seeking a neurodivergent-friendly assessment, or simply looking for a space where you don't have to mask, our team approaches your care from a strictly strengths-based, anti-ableist perspective.

To ensure you receive the highest standard of specialized, safe care, every therapist on our team is EMDR-trained and equipped to help you process complex trauma and break painful cycles. Because we know that being inclusive is an ongoing practice, not just a bio tagline, our clinical team participates in monthly trainings through a neuroaffirming and culturally affirming lens. You deserve a laid-back, welcoming environment where your therapist is both a highly trained clinician and a fierce advocate for you.

The beauty of our mentorship model of practice is that we have an array of specialties amongst our clinicians, as well as resources for you within multiple communities. We take an eclectic approach and celebrate blending models to ensure you get the care you need tailored to you- Somatics, Neuro affirmative CBT, breath-work, Expressive Arts, and more.

About the founders…

Cassandra Holt Kimbell and Monica Mills are from two very different backgrounds, but came together in Long Beach with the same mission: To provide quality supervision to associate therapists, in a laid back environment, with manageable caseload numbers that allow them to have a work/life balance, and grow as qualified helping professionals. They are continuing to build a team that moves deeper than “trauma-informed” as a hashtag or trend, to a truly trauma treatment rooted, EMDR-trained, crisis confident, and genuinely inclusive therapy group.

When we talk about being culturally affirming or strengths-based vs deficits, we aren’t just adding it to a bio; it’s engrained in every report we write and every session we show up to.
